Cash in your chips. Rockstar Games' latest update to Grand Theft Auto Online, the Diamond Casino & Resort, is the biggest launch in the online game's history.Officially launched July 23, the.
As you’d imagine, the casino features Blackjack, Three Card Poker, Roulette, and slot machines, while there’s a new “Inside Track Lounge” which features horse racing to bet on.
As noted by GTA insider, TezFunz2, you can win prizes from $200 up to $100,000 on slot machines.
Supposedly a new currency will also be introduced with Funz2 also saying: “Many have been wondering about the gambling laws, and how Rockstar is gonna deal with them.
“From this picture (above), you can see there’s a new currency which appears to be “casino chips”. You can earn up to GTA$50,000 or 15,000 RP or 25,000 casino chips.”
There’s also a Lucky Wheel which offers a variety of rewards – most impressive among them is the Truffade Thrax a new car being introduced to the game.
GTA ONLINE CASINO – NEW CARS
As we mention, Rockstar Games have already confirmed that they’re adding the Truffade Thrax to the game, but GTA Online updates such as this normally add a whole heap of new vehicles.
So you’ll need to stay tuned for info tomorrow morning when the update drops. @FoxySnaps has a good track record (in our mind) of leaking files for the new cars as soon as the update drops, along with the prices. So stay tuned, we’ll bring all that info to you when it arrives.
GTA ONLINE CASINO – THE PENTHOUSE
Of course, winning heaps of cash wouldn’t be a lot of fun without something to spend it on, but the casino offers a Master Penthouse.
It’ll be expensive, but with it comes exclusive lounges and tables in the casino, aircraft and limousine service, and more.
The penthouse can be customised and gives a place to plan out new co-op missions to help the casino’s owner Tao Cheng. Each mission offers rewards while completing the campaign offers a new vehicle (although this hasn’t been revealed just yet).
GTA ONLINE CASINO – THE STORY
The Rockstar website also provides a bit more clarity into the new story campaign, which we’ve grabbed for you, just underneath:
“With a Master Penthouse you’ll also become a member of The Diamond family, and the family business needs your attention. Help property owner Tao Cheng and The Diamond staff protect their investment from the clutches of a corrupt family of Texan petrochemical magnates in a series of all new co-operative missions. Each mission pays out special Awards for first-time completion and hosting the entire story thread will reward you with a highly coveted, brand-new vehicle free of charge. You can also pickup additional work and odd jobs to earn extra cash and chips with a quick phone call to the Diamond’s head of operations, Agatha Baker.“
Suffice to say, whilst the casino will be fun, this is where you’ll be conducting most of your business. It’ll also be interesting to see what exactly happens with Tao Cheng, given the last time we saw him in GTA 5 you could choose to kill him. Although for the purpose of the mission “The Third Way,” it was only Wei Cheng (Tao’s dad) who Franklin agrees to kill.
GTA ONLINE CASINO – TWITCH PRIME BONUS
Hopefully you managed to claim your Twitch Prime bonus last week because you only have until the end of the day on July 19th in order to do so.
Those of you who linked your Social Club account with Twitch Prime will automatically unlock the Master Penthouse for free in the Diamond Casino and Resort.
On top of that, because Rockstar are being all sorts of generous, they’re also giving you a cool $1.25 million in currency dropped into your characters bank account as well as 15% extra GTA$ on purchases of Shark Cash Cards.
As we say though, if you didn’t link your social club and Twitch Prime account you’ll have missed out.
But we still suggest doing it because Rockstar teased that this was an ongoing partnership, so its quite possible there will be more GTA 5 Casino rewards announced and available to players in the coming weeks.
Unfortunately that only lasted until 19th July, but hopefully, you’ll make a killing at the Casino tables and be able to work your way to that prime real estate in any case.

The next big GTA 5 and GTA Online update is coming this tomorrow, and it'll be ready to roll out on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
'Prepare yourself for the biggest, most audacious, most complex criminal operation ever to hit Los Santos in The Diamond Casino Heist,' notes a Rockstar press release.
The new DLC will be coming to all platforms of the game on December 12, and if past Rockstar updates are anything to go by, we can likely expect the game to launch fairly early in UK time.

GTA 5 Online Casino Heist – Start Time
Typically, Rockstar Games updates tend to drop in the morning and in our previous experience big updates to the game like this one will arrive earlier than the average update.
That means we can probably expect this update to start rolling out at about 10am GMT or shortly thereafter.
GTA Twitter user @FoxySnaps usually starts publishing automated tweets as soon as the update drops on PS4, Xbox One and PC – we'll keep our eyes on that account and update you when information starts to circulate.

GTA 5 Online Casino Heist – New Content

We've got a few bytes of information out of Rockstar about what to expect in the next update to GTA Online, but there are still a few question marks about how it's all going to knit together.
We know that the newly introduced mission will look at how the Online Heists work, and restructure them to some degree.
'The Diamond Casino Heist is an all-new approach to Heist architecture and execution: one huge gameplay-packed operation as you work with the Cheng family to infiltrate the most secure building in all of Los Santos,' notes a Rockstar press release.
'Featuring a diverse range of opportunities for set-up and prep missions that shape your plan of attack, multiple paths of approach, constantly changing security measures and a dizzying array of choices once inside.'
It sounds like no two Heists are going to play out the same this time – giving players more freedom and choice once they're through the doors.
'Expect outcomes for you and your crew to change on the fly as you deal with each new situation, leading to more choices mid-mission,' the press release notes.
Even if the best laid plans go sideways, you’ll have the opportunity to keep the mission afloat without failing by shooting your way out with your remaining team lives – so even if it goes wrong… you could salvage something out of the attempt.

A new venture is coming for players to experiment with in the update, too.

'In order to plan the biggest Heist ever perpetrated in Los Santos, Heist crew leaders will setup an unexpected new commercial venture as a front,' Rockstar has said.
Players will be able to establish a retro Arcade business property shrouding the nerve center within where Heist operations are staged and rehearsed.
'While the business runs above, down below you can practice hacking keypads or cracking vault doors, store equipment and getaway vehicles, and owners of existing businesses can add a Master Control Terminal to handle all current operations.'
So you can expect this update to make a fair few changes to existing content, as well as adding more to the game too.
